1. A charging control device for an electric vehicle, the charging control device comprising:
a charging inlet configured to connect to a charging cable of an EVSE (electric vehicle supply equipment);
a communication unit configured to communicate with the EVSE; and
a control unit configured to determine a charging mode based on a first signal received through the charging inlet and communication unit and generate a second signal for controlling charging of a battery in accordance with the determined charging mode,
wherein the communication unit includes a first communication channel and a second communication channel,
wherein the control unit generates the second signal for controlling charging of the battery based on a first charging mode when receiving the first signal through the first communication channel,
wherein the control unit generates the second signal for controlling charging of the battery based on a second charging mode when receiving the first signal through the second communication channel, and
wherein the first charging mode and the second charging mode comply with different charging standards.
