1. An elastomeric article comprising:
an article comprising a flexible layer of elastomeric nitrile rubber formed from a nitrile rubber emulsion, the article having a first surface and a second surface;
wherein the first surface and the second surface are chlorinated, wherein chlorination of the first surface and chlorination of the second surface are accomplished with different chlorine solutions, wherein chlorination of the first surface is accomplished by dipping the first surface into a sodium hypochlorite solution followed by dipping the first surface into a tank of hydrochloric acid;
wherein the second surface is treated with a friction treatment that reduces the level of friction of the second surface to improve the ease with which a second elastomeric article can slide on top of the second surface, wherein the friction treatment of the second surface comprises the chlorination of the second surface, wherein the second surface has a static coefficient of friction in a range from about 0.3 to about 0.9 or a dynamic coefficient of friction in a range from about 0.3 to about 1.
