1. A power over fiber system, comprising:
a laser source configured to emit high power laser energy;
an optical detector configured to convert detected light into electrical energy; and
an optical fiber cable comprising:
a first end coupled to the laser source,
an opposing second end coupled to the optical detector,
a length extending between the first and second ends, and
a plurality of optical fibers, each optical fiber extending the length of the cable, and having a thermal filler surrounding the fiber.
