1. A system for a vehicle, the system comprising:
a gas spring including a cylinder containing a piston, the piston being moveable between an extended position and a compressed position within the gas spring cylinder;
a sensor operable to measure an operational characteristic of the gas spring; and
a processor in communication with the sensor and configured to suggest to said system an operational setting of the gas spring in response to an input from the sensor corresponding to the operational characteristic, wherein said sensor is part of a hand-held device such as a smartphone or tablet computer.
