A method for reducing inflammation in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising: administering to the subject an effective amount of a cyclic peptide, wherein the amino acid sequence of the cyclic peptide is selected from the group consisting of DWGPK (SEQ ID NO: 2) and dWGPK (SEQ ID NO: 4).
