1. A tissue resecting device, comprising:
a tubular outer sleeve having a lumen extending axially therethrough;
a conductive end cap disposed across a distal end of the lumen, the conductive end cap including a post element extending proximally therefrom;
a dielectric extending element having a central bore formed therein, the extending element being mounted on the post element; and
a tubular inner sleeve slidably disposed within the lumen of the outer sleeve and configured to move between a proximal position and a distal position, the inner sleeve including a distal electrode edge and an extraction lumen extending therethrough;
wherein the extending element includes a proximally tapered outer surface configured to extend into the inner sleeve as the inner sleeve moves toward the distal position.
