1. A method comprising:
saving, by a processor, a user configured monitor setting in a human interface device via a first interface bypassing a host, wherein the user configured monitor setting is mapped to a shortcut key associated with the human interface device, wherein the user configured monitor setting is associated with a first monitor that is associated with the host, and wherein the human interface device is coupled to the first monitor via the first interface; and
in response to detecting activation of the shortcut key associated with the human interface device, retrieving the user configured monitor setting fronn the human interface device and applying the user configured monitor setting that is associated with the first monitor to a second monitor via a second interface bypassing the host, and wherein the human interface device is coupled to the second monitor via the second interface.
