1. A method of providing a treatment for cleaning and removing oils from hair without rinsing the hair, comprising:
providing a powder phase including at least one emollient and at least two absorbents selected from the group of mica, silica, starch, talc, kaolin and zeolite;
providing a solvent phase;
blending the powder phase and the solvent phase to form a slurry; and
forming the slurry into a dry shampoo tablet; and
removing solvent from the dry shampoo tablet;
wherein the dry shampoo tablet is adapted for manual application to the hair by pressing the dry shampoo tablet to the hair without wetting the dry shampoo tablet or the hair.
