1. A method for wireless communication at a first device, comprising:
identifying a set of component carriers in a component carrier group;
identifying a common default beam based at least in part on a common transmission configuration indication state, spatial relation information, or both, wherein the common default beam is applicable for each component carrier of the set of component carriers in the component carrier group;
transmitting an indication of the common transmission configuration indication state, the spatial relation information, or both to a second device, wherein the indication of the common transmission configuration indication state, the spatial relation information, or both signals the identified common default beam to the second device;
transmitting an indication of a set of multiple default beams for simultaneous transmit/receive communications with the second device, wherein the set of multiple default beams comprises one or more common downlink default beams and one or more common uplink default beams, and wherein the identified common default beam comprises the set of multiple default beams; and
communicating with the second device based at least in part on the indication of the common transmission configuration indication state, the spatial relation information, or both using the identified common default beam and at least one component carrier of the set of component carriers.
