1. An optic power monitoring system, comprising:
a processor communicatively coupled to a storage device, wherein the processor executes application code instructions that are stored in the storage device to cause the system to:
provide a platform that receives data from optic network components, the data comprising light measurements being transmitted or received by the components via fiber optic cable, wherein the light measurements are received in milliwatts or decibels per milliwatt;
process the received data from the plurality of the components to store the data in decibels per milliwatt;
aggregate the received data from the plurality of the components;
log events of low optical power measured by the components;
determine based on the logged events that a fault is existing or likely to occur;
generate a graphical user interface that displays aggregated data, faults, and potential faults to a user;
generate a recommendation to the user to repair a fault or a potential fault; and
display the recommendation to the user on the graphical user interface.
