1. A secondary battery comprising:
an electrode body that includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate;
an outer body that has an opening and houses the electrode body;
a sealing plate that seals the opening;
an external terminal that is attached to the sealing plate;
a tab that is provided in the positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate;
a current collector that electrically connects the tab to the external terminal,
an injection port that is formed in the sealing plate, and
an insulating member that is disposed between the current collector and the sealing member,
wherein
the tab is extending toward the sealing plate from an edge of the electrode body adjacent to the sealing plate, and
the insulating member includes a first opening which overlaps the injection port, and an insulating member protrusion that protrudes toward the electrode body.
 
13. A secondary battery comprising:
an electrode body that includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate;
an outer body that has an opening and houses the electrode body;
a sealing plate that seals the opening;
an external terminal that is attached to the sealing plate;
a tab that is provided in the positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate;
a current collector that electrically connects the tab to the external terminal,
an injection port that is formed in the sealing plate, and
an insulating member that is disposed between the current collector and the sealing member,
wherein
the tab is disposed on an edge of the electrode body adjacent to the sealing plate,
the insulating member includes a first opening which overlaps the injection port, and an insulating member protrusion that protrudes toward the electrode body,
the current collector includes a first current collector and a second current collector,
the tab is connected to the second current collector,
the first current collector has a current collector protrusion,
the second current collector has a current collector opening,
the current collector protrusion is positioned in the current collector opening, and the current collector protrusion and an edge of the current collector opening are weld-connected to each other,
the second current collector has a second opening at a position facing the injection port, and
the insulating member protrusion is positioned in the second opening.
 
14. A secondary battery comprising:
an electrode body that includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate;
an outer body that has an opening and houses the electrode body;
a sealing plate that seals the opening;
an external terminal that is attached to the sealing plate;
a tab that is provided in the positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate;
a current collector that electrically connects the tab to the external terminal,
an injection port that is formed in the sealing plate, and
an insulating member that is disposed between the current collector and the sealing member,
wherein
the tab is disposed on an edge of the electrode body adjacent to the sealing plate,
the insulating member includes a first opening which overlaps the injection port, and an insulating member protrusion that protrudes toward the electrode body,
the current collector includes a first current collector and a second current collector,
the tab is connected to the second current collector,
the first current collector has a current collector protrusion,
the second current collector has a current collector opening,
the current collector protrusion is positioned in the current collector opening, and the current collector protrusion and an edge of the current collector opening are weld-connected to each other,
a conduction path between the tab and the external terminal is provided with a current interrupting mechanism that operates when an internal pressure of a battery case reaches a predetermined value or higher, the battery case including the outer body and the sealing plate, and
the current interrupting mechanism includes a deformation plate that deforms when the internal pressure of the battery case reaches a predetermined value or higher, and a joint between the first current collector and the second current collector is located nearer to the electrode body than the deformation plate.
