1. A positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery comprising:
an active material;
an electrically conductive material;
a binder; and
an iron oxide represented by the following Formula 1:
FexO3 wherein 1.7≤x<1.8, and  [Formula 1]
wherein the iron oxide is Fe1.766O3, and
wherein the iron oxide has X-ray diffraction (Xl)) peaks appearing at 2θ=24.2±0.1°, 33.8±0.1°, 36.0±0.1°, 40.8±0.1°, 49.4±0.1°, and 53.8±0.1°, respectively.
