1. A device comprising:
a rounded enclosure comprising a first housing element and a base that are coupled together, wherein the first housing element and the base are separated along a separation plane, and wherein the first housing element comprises:
a perforated portion, where the perforated portion forms a ring adjacent to the separation plane for transmitting sound via the perforated portion of the first housing element; and
a top portion that is not perforated and that is less rounded than the perforated portion;
a speaker disposed within the base such that a primary sound projection path from the speaker is towards the first housing element;
one or more surfaces that reflect at least a portion of sound from the speaker toward the perforated portion that forms the ring adjacent to the separation plane; and
a circuit board arranged within the rounded enclosure and electrically coupled to the speaker, the circuit board including:
one or more electronic components configured to drive the speaker; and
a wireless transceiver configured to receive and transmit signals.
