1. A display case door, comprising:
an insulated panel assembly comprising:
a front surface that, with the display case door mounted on a refrigerated display case, faces away from an interior volume of the refrigerated display case, and
a rear surface, that with the display case door mounted on the refrigerated case, faces the interior volume of the refrigerated display case;
a permanently non-transparent video monitor comprising an electronic display housed within an outer housing that covers peripheral edges and a rear side of the electronic display, the video monitor mounted adjacent to the insulated panel assembly such that the front surface of the insulated panel assembly faces a rear surface of the outer housing of the video monitor;
a door frame with the insulated panel assembly mounted to the door frame using one or more mechanical fasteners, and wherein the door frame comprises a portion that extends forward along a peripheral edge of the outer housing of the video monitor; and
at least one display retainer connected to the door frame and to the outer housing of the video monitor and configured to secure the video monitor to the display case door.
