1. A method implemented on at least one processor, a memory, and a communication platform enabling connection to a network for detecting liveness, comprising:
receiving an image with visual information of a palm;
identifying a region of interests (ROI) in the image that corresponds to the palm;
individually generating, by each of a plurality of fake palm detectors, an individual decision on whether the ROI corresponds to a specific type of fake palm that the fake palm detector is to detect; and
combining the individual decisions from the plurality of fake palm detectors to derive a liveness detection decision with respect to the ROI,
wherein individually generating an individual decision comprises accessing a detection model previously trained via machine learning to detect the specific type of fake palm from visual data.
