1. A system for performance management of a distributed system, comprising:
at least one memory that stores computer-executable instructions; and
at least one processor configured to access the at least one memory, wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to:
determine a level of advisement for an account of the distributed system;
receive configuration information associated with the account, the configuration information including at least one configuration setting associated with a first operation of one or more computer systems implementing a virtual machine operationally attached to a data store, the at least one configuration setting based at least in part on an identification of the first operation of the one or more computer systems associated with one or more characteristics including a stored data distribution, content distribution, a data transfer, a data storage type, a data storage version, or a product usage;
instruct the one or more computer systems implementing the virtual machine of the distributed system to perform a second operation on the operationally attached data store, the second operation being performed on behalf of the account;
receive, from the virtual machine operating on behalf of the account, information associated with the second operation performed on the operationally attached data store;
determine, based at least in part on the information associated with the second operation, the determined level of advisement, and the received configuration information, at least one system configuration setting of the distributed system; and
instruct the one or more computer systems to implement the at least one system configuration setting with respect to the operationally attached data store in response to determining the at least one system configuration setting.
