1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving, by a payment transfer system and from a first user device of a first user associated with a first identifier, a first electronic message sent to a second user, the first electronic message including a funds-transfer request requesting a transfer of funds between the first user and the second user, the second user associated with a second identifier in the funds-transfer request, wherein the first identifier is associated with a first account of the first user;
generating, by the payment transfer system, based on receiving the first electronic message including the funds-transfer request from the first user device, a second electronic message including an interactive element for interaction by the second user to send a funds-transfer authorization, wherein the interactive element includes at least one encoded identifier such that interaction with the interactive element enables the system to identify the first account of the first user and a second account of the second user based at least on the at least one encoded identifier, wherein interaction with the interactive element by the second user is interpreted by the payment transfer system as the funds-transfer authorization from the second user;
sending, by the payment transfer system and based on the second identifier associated with the second user included in the funds-transfer request in the first electronic message, the second electronic message to a second user device associated with the second user;
receiving, by the payment transfer system, based on an indication of interaction with the interactive element, the funds-transfer authorization from the second user device, wherein the funds-transfer authorization corresponds to the second identifier of the second user;
identifying, by the payment transfer system and based on the at least one encoded identifier, the account of the first user corresponding to the first identifier, and the account of the second user corresponding to the second identifier corresponding to the received funds-transfer authorization; and
in response to receiving the funds-transfer authorization, initiating, by the payment transfer system, a transfer of funds between the account of the first user and the account of the second user.
