1. A transaction card, comprising:
a contactless enabled chip storing a passive near-field communication (“NFC”) tag and a payment application that enables a payment via the transaction card, the NFC tag having stored information separated from the payment application, the stored information comprising customer identity information, account information of an account of a customer, and a general uniform resource locator (URL), the contactless enabled chip configured to:
receive, via a contactless communication between the contactless enabled chip and a mobile device of a customer, a command comprising a random bit string and a request for a particular type of information, wherein the request is independent of a payment request and wherein the particular type of information comprises the customer identity information;
determine, based on the received request for the particular type of information, an information package selected from the stored information based on the particular type of information;
determine, based on the received request for the particular type of information, a cryptographic algorithm selected from a plurality of algorithms;
encrypt, according to the selected cryptographic algorithm and using the random bit string, the information package to generate a bit sequence regarding the encrypted information package;
determine, based on the received request, a format to include the bit sequence in, wherein the format is selected from a plurality of formats;
embed, based on the received request and in accordance with the format, the bit sequence into the general URL on the transaction card to create a query string for a customer-specific URL that is valid for a predefined number of uses;
receive power from a contactless reader of the mobile device; and
wirelessly transmit, via the contactless communication, the NFC tag containing the customer-specific URL to the contactless reader of the mobile device, wherein the customer-specific URL causes, via the query string, the mobile device to automatically transmit the customer identity information to a card issuer computing system to verify that the transaction card is associated with the account of the customer and facilitate a reset of an online credential for accessing the account online.
