1. A management system that manages one or more storage devices that provide, to a higher-level device, one or more volumes for inputting and outputting data, the management system comprising a processor,
wherein the processor collects performance information of a volume from the storage device at a predetermined first time interval and detects, based on the performance information, a quality-of-service (QoS) violation of the performance information of the volume at a second time interval longer than the first time interval,
wherein the processor generates, based on the performance information of the volume collected at the first time interval, statistical information on the performance information of the volume using the second time interval as a unit and detects the QoS violation of the performance information of the volume based on the statistical information,
wherein the performance information includes input/output per second (IOPS) that has occurred in the volume,
wherein the statistical information includes information obtained by converting the IOPS into a histogram,
wherein the processor detects the QoS violation of the performance information of the volume based on the information obtained by converting the IOPS into the histogram,
wherein the processor estimates, based on the IOPS, maximum IOPS that can be requested by the higher-level device, and
wherein the processor detects the QoS violation of the performance information of the volume based on the information obtained by converting the IOPS into the histogram and the information obtained by converting the maximum IOPS into the histogram.
