1. A method, comprising:
1) providing a nucleic acid sequencing system comprising:
a) flow cells comprising nucleic acid to be sequenced in cycles, said flow cells mounted on
b) a moveable support, said support configured to move flow cells,
c) one or more reagent delivery stations, each station in fluidic communication with
d) reagent reservoirs configured to supply extension reagents including fluorescent nucleotide analogues and an imaging buffer comprising an oxygen scavenger,
and
e) an imaging platform configured to detect said fluorescent nucleotide analogues;
2) introducing said fluorescent nucleotide analogues into a first flow cell;
3) moving said first flow cell from a first position on said moveable support and repositioning said flow cell to said imaging platform;
4) introducing said imaging buffer in said first flow cell; and
5) imaging said first flow cell.
