1. A dry electroblotting system comprising:
an apparatus comprising:
a power supply; and
at least one electrode;
the apparatus configured to hold a transfer stack, the transfer stack comprising at least one matrix and at least one ion source, wherein the ion source is a non-liquid ion source,
and wherein, the at least one electrode is: attached to the matrix, at least partially embedded in the body of the matrix, or is juxtaposed with the matrix.
