1. A distance measurement device comprising:
an image sensor that captures a subject image formed by an imaging optical system forming the subject image indicating a subject;
a display that displays the subject image captured by the image sensor; and
a processor configured to perform a distance measurement that derives a distance to the subject, and to perform control such that, in a case of performing the distance measurement, the display displays the subject image captured by the image sensor, actual exposure of a still image by the image sensor is performed after the timing of the end of the distance measurement, and the display continues display of the subject image at least until the timing of the end of the distance measurement.
