1. A method of controlling steam injected via an injection well into a hydrocarbon reservoir, the method comprising:
measuring temperatures at a plurality of locations along a portion of a production well extending generally horizontally along the hydrocarbon reservoir; and
controlling flow control devices disposed along the injection well to control the steam injected into the reservoir in response to the temperatures measured at the plurality of locations;
wherein the flow control devices comprise shiftable steam splitters and the controlling comprises controlling each one of the flow control devices separately such that at least a one of the shiftable steam splitters is open and at least another of the shiftable steam splitters is closed during a period of injecting steam.
