1. A compound of formula (I):

A is selected from:

R1 is selected from hydrogen, C1-C12 alkyl, C2-C12 alkenyl, and C1-C12 haloalkyl;
R2 is selected from C4-C20 alkyl, C4-C20 alkenyl, and C4-C20 haloalkyl;
each R3 is independently selected from C1-C12 alkyl, C2-C12 alkenyl, and C1-C12 haloalkyl;
m is 1, 2, or 3;
Ra and Rb, at each occurrence, are independently selected from hydrogen and C1-C3 alkyl;
Q is selected from C1-C6-alkylene, and C1-C6-hydroxyalkylene;
or the group -Q-SO3M has a formula:

 and
each M is independently selected from hydrogen, an alkali metal cation, and NR4+, wherein each R is independently selected from hydrogen and C1-C12 alkyl.
