1. An imaging method, comprising:
(i) administering an effective amount of a non-nutritive sweetener, wherein the non-nutritive sweetener comprises aspartame, neotame, acesulfame, sucralose, cyclamate, saccharin, stevioside, rebaudioside, steviol, or combinations or derivatives thereof, to a patient; and
(ii) subsequent to administering step (i), obtaining one or more images of a tissue of the patient where the non-nutritive sweetener has accumulated, the one or more images being derived from the presence of the non-nutritive sweetener in the tissue.
