1. A method for treatment of a nervous system, the method comprising:
inserting a flexible catheter including a drainage lumen into a cerebrospinal fluid space;
draining cerebrospinal fluid through the drainage lumen in the catheter to decrease pressure in the nervous system;
monitoring a functional status of thoracic spinal cord evoked potentials of the nervous system;
monitoring a functional status of cervical spinal cord evoked potentials of the nervous system; and
modifying the treatment of the nervous system to adjust for any change in the functional status of the thoracic spinal cord evoked potentials of the nervous system relative to the functional status of the cervical spinal cord evoked potentials of the nervous system.
