1. A modeling system configured for providing a virtual model of a prosthetic device at a dental implant site by orienting on an anatomical healing abutment, said modeling system comprising:
a) at least one anatomical healing abutment located at said dental implant site, and comprising at least three non-planar reference marks on an upper section of said anatomical healing abutment;
b) a scanning arrangement configured to scan said anatomical healing abutment and surrounding jaw structure associated with said implant site using said non-planar reference marks to orient said anatomical healing abutment to gingiva and dentia around said implant side to develop position data of said non-planar reference marks; and,
c) calculating means for deriving image data of said dental implant site from said position data of said non-planar reference marks, and a negative image of said anatomical healing abutment.
