1. A clot retrieval device for removing a clot from a blood vessel, comprising:
a shaft;
a first expandable body distal of the shaft and a second expandable body distal of the first expandable body, each of the first and second expandable body comprising a plurality of scaffolding segments forming closed cells, wherein at least one of the scaffolding segments of the first expandable body terminates in a distal apex free from connection to an adjacent closed cell; and
a plurality of clot inlet mouths between the first and second expandable bodies through which the clot may pass and enter the device,
wherein the first expandable body is connected to the second expandable body by only two connecting arms, the connecting arms located on opposing sides of a longitudinal axis of the clot retrieval device.
