1. An apparatus comprising:
a current mode controller operative to:
produce an output voltage by supplying output current from a first power supply phase of a power supply to power a load;
produce an error current signal based on a difference between a magnitude of the output current supplied from the first power supply phase to the load and an output current setpoint;
based on a magnitude of the error current signal, generate a pulse width setting associated with a pulse width modulation signal for controlling the first power supply phase;
vary a leading edge and a trailing edge of a pulse width ON-time of the pulse width modulation signal over each of multiple control cycles depending on variations in a magnitude of the pulse width setting; and
wherein the magnitude of the pulse width setting of the pulse width modulation signal varies during the pulse width ON-time of the pulse width modulation signal.
