1. A system for managing patient assistance requests in a healthcare facility, the system comprising:
a personal assistant device associated with a location in a healthcare facility and having a listening component and a speaker, the personal assistant device being configured to receive voice commands and to audibly provide responses to received voice commands;
a processor in communication with the personal assistant device and an electronic healthcare information system; and
one or more computer-readable media storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
receive, via the listening component, a voice command from a patient associated, in the electronic healthcare information system, with the healthcare facility location;
identify a particular device that is associated with a healthcare team member based on the healthcare team member being associated with the patient in the electronic healthcare information system;
transmit the received voice command to the particular device identified as being associated with the healthcare team member;
detect when the voice command is read or heard by the associated healthcare team member from the particular device and in response:
generate and transmit an indication to the personal assistant device that received the voice command from the patient, wherein the indication causes the personal assistant device to audibly output, via the speaker, the indication that the voice command was read or heard by the healthcare team member associated with the particular device;
determine an identity of the patient based on at least the voice command and medical records from the electronic healthcare information system;
determine an identity of the healthcare team member based on at least the medical records from the electronic healthcare information system;
identify at least one item from either the received voice command or a received response to the voice command; and
store the at least one item in a medical record associated with the patient identified in the electronic healthcare information system.
