1. A system comprising:
a power profile engine configured to receive a desired power profile associated with a device, wherein the power profile includes a first profile current average associated with a first time duration and a second profile current average associated with a second time duration; and
a power throttling signal generator configured to generate a first power throttling signal to throttle power consumption in the device in response to a first running average for a plurality of measured currents being greater than the first profile current average and further configured to generate a second power throttling signal to throttle power consumption in the device in response to a second running average for the measured currents being greater than the second profile current average.
