1. A device carrier for an information handling system, the device carrier comprising:
a latch to hold the device carrier within the information handling system;
an interface in physical communication with the latch;
indicator lights located on a front of the latch;
first light pipes located within the latch, the first light pipes to provide light to the indicator lights located on the front of the latch;
second light pipes located within the interface, the second light pipes to provide the light to the first light pipes, wherein the location of the second light pipes enables the same brightness of the light provided to the indicator lights when a long device is inserted within the device carrier as compared to when a short device is inserted within the device carrier; and
an adaptor in physical communication with the interface, the adaptor includes third light pipes, wherein a first air gap between the second light pipes and the third light pipes is a first tight air gap, wherein the first tight air gap prevents flux loss when the light is provided from the third light pipes to the second light pipes.
