1. A composition of matter comprising a functionalized oligomer obtained by ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of tetracyclododecene monomer and a sterically encumbered cyclic monomer with an olefinic chain transfer agent at a molar ratio of the tetracyclododecene monomer and the sterically encumbered cyclic monomer to olefinic chain transfer agent from 3:1 to about 40:1, wherein the olefinic chain transfer agent comprises allyl glycidyl ether, allyl Si(OEt)3, allyl-CH2—CH(O)CH2, allyl-CH2—N—(SiMe3)2, or a combination thereof, and wherein the sterically encumbered cyclic monomer comprises 5-trifluoromethyl-5,6,6-trifluoro-2-norbornene.
