4. A driving tool comprising:
a striking unit configured to move in a first direction to strike a fastener;
a first transmission portion provided on the striking unit;
a rotating shaft configured to rotate in a first rotation direction;
a rotating member configured to be rotated in the first rotation direction together with the rotating shaft; and
a second transmission portion provided on the rotating member and configured to be engaged with and released from the first transmission portion,
wherein the striking unit is configured to move in a second direction opposite the first direction when the second transmission portion is engaged with the first transmission portion, and configured to move in the first direction when the second transmission portion is released from the first transmission portion,
wherein the rotating member is provided with a guide portion elongated in a radial direction of the rotating member, and the second transmission portion is configured to move in a third direction along the guide portion between a first position where the second transmission portion is engaged with the first transmission portion on an outer side of the rotating member and a second position where the second transmission portion is released from the first transmission portion on an inner side of the rotating member, and configured to move from the first position to the second position by a rotating force from the rotating shaft.
