1. A negative electrode active material comprising secondary particles comprising a plurality of primary particles coated with an amorphous carbon coating layer,
wherein the primary particles comprise silicon composite primary particles represented by Mg—SiOx (0<x<2) and artificial graphite primary particles, and
a BET surface area of the artificial graphite primary particles is 0.4 to 5 m2/g.
