1. A method comprising:
receiving, from a user device operable by a healthcare provider, a request for healthcare data generated by two or more sensors that are configured according to one or more requirements associated with the request, the two or more sensors being configured respectively to monitor two or more health parameters of the patient and being in communication with the user device via a remote connection;
receiving, from the two or more sensors, the generated healthcare data responsive to the request, the generated healthcare data including an identifier associated with a patient and a data stream representing the two or more monitored health parameters of the patient with readings taken in synchronization with each other, the data stream comprising a plurality of data files encapsulated within a manageable data object, the generated healthcare data further including an alert generated in response to one or more of the monitored health parameters of the patient indicating an escalating health condition; and
providing the user device with access to the generated healthcare data via a user interface of the user device, said providing including publishing the data stream as an application programming interface (API) accessible by a mobile device over the Internet.
