1. A composition for making a solids-free drilling fluid a non-invasive drilling fluid, the composition comprising:
a first component comprising particles having a scratch hardness above 2 Mohs; and
a second component comprising comminuted whole seeds, with their testa, of Tamarindus indica, wherein the concentration of the first component is 15-99% by weight and the concentration of the second component is 1-30% by weight, and wherein, when used in a drilling fluid during drilling of a well, the composition forms an impermeable film on the surfaces of the well, thereby substantially preventing fluid loss through porous portions of the well so that the drilling fluid is non-invasive.
