1. A broadcast receiving apparatus comprising:
a broadcast receiver configured to receive broadcasting data, the broadcasting data at least containing video data of program contents, event schedule information, and content information regarding color gamut with which the video data of the program contents deal;
a storage configured to store display characteristic information regarding color gamut;
a video conversion processor configured to execute a color gamut converting process for the video data of the program contents received by the broadcast receiver on a basis of the content information received by the broadcast receiver and the display characteristic information read out from the storage;
a display configured to display a video converted by the video conversion processor; and
a controller configured to create a program guide to be displayed on the display on a basis of the event schedule information and control the broadcast receiver, the storage, and the video conversion processor,
wherein the content information includes 1) a first type of content information indicating whether or not the video data of the program contents is compatible with a High Dynamic Range (HDR) for each program unit and 2) a second type of content information indicating whether or not the video data of the program contents is compatible with the HDR for each unit different from the program unit,
wherein the first type of content information is received by not being included in a video stream of the program contents,
wherein the second type of content information is received by being included in the video stream of the program contents, and the second type of content information is received in a finer unit of time than the first type of content information,
wherein the controller controls to display a symbol indicating whether or not the video data of the program contents is compatible with the HDR for each program unit in the program guide on a basis of the first type of content information, and
wherein the controller controls the video conversion processor to execute the color gamut converting process for the video data of the program contents for each unit different from the program unit on a basis of the second type of content information.
