1. An image forming apparatus comprising:
an image processor configured to convert image data based on a conversion condition;
an image former configured to form an image based on an image forming condition and the image data converted by the image processor;
a transfer member onto which a pattern image is formed;
a detector configured to detect the pattern image on the transfer member;
a reading sensor configured to read a test image formed on a sheet;
a controller configured to:
control the image former to form the pattern image on the transfer member;
update a first image forming condition to a second image forming condition based on a detection result of the pattern image detected by the detector, wherein the first image forming condition is used for an image formation by the image former before the pattern image is formed;
control the image former to form the test image different from the pattern image on the sheet based on the second image forming condition;
generate the conversion condition based on a reading result of the test image read by the reading sensor; and
return the second image forming condition to the first image forming condition, in a case where a user cancel instruction to cancel generation of the conversion condition is received before reading the test image by the reading sensor.
