1. A system comprising:
a plurality of devices on a wireless network, each of the devices having a multi-mode antenna configurable in a plurality of antenna modes, each of the antenna modes having a distinct radiation pattern, the plurality of devices comprising a first device and a second device; and
a network controller configured to:
obtain data from the first device of the plurality of devices while the multi-mode antenna of the first device is configured in one or more of the plurality of antenna modes, the data comprising a channel quality indicator associated with communicating with the first device; and
determine one or more network performance indicators for the wireless network based, at least in part, on the channel quality indicator; and
provide one or more control signals to reconfigure an antenna mode of the multi-mode antenna for the second device of the plurality of devices based, at least in part, on the one or more network performance indicators.
