1. A user equipment (UE) comprising:
radio front end circuitry configured to receive a first message including a Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) state change command from a network; and
processor circuitry, coupled to the radio front end circuitry, configured to:
determine, based on the first message, whether a time offset/frequency offset (TO/FO) and a reception (Rx) beam for a new TCI state are known by the UE;
calculate, based on the determination, a time delay of the UE to be prepared to receive a reference signal associated with the new TCI state; and
generate a second message indicating the time delay to be prepared to receive the reference signal associated with the new TCI state,
wherein the radio front end circuitry is further configured to transmit the second message to the network.
