1. A display system, comprising:
a display including a plurality of pixels;
a display table including a plurality of rows, each row of the display table including a sequence of bit-planes associated with one of a plurality of phase-shift values for each of the pixels in the display, each sequence of bit-planes:
including a number of 1-values and a number of 0-values;
having the 1-values and the 0-values spaced apart within the sequence to reduce phase ripple of a pixel in the plurality of pixels to which the sequence of bit-planes is applied; and
having at least one 1-value including one or more groups of 1-values having approximately a same number of bit planes,
each of the one or more groups of 1-values spaced apart from one another within the sequence of bit-planes by one or more groups of 0-values,
each of the one or more groups of 0-values having approximately a same number of bit-planes; and
a display driver configured to apply a sequence of bit-planes to each of the plurality of pixels, the sequence of bit-planes for each of the plurality of pixels corresponding to one of the rows in the display table and the one of the rows in the display table being determined by a corresponding phase-shift value for each of the plurality of pixels.
