1. A method for dynamically updating drive scheme settings to adjust displaying of image data in a display of an image system, comprising:
receiving image data;
determining a drive sequence to apply to a display when displaying the image data, the drive sequence including settings to set or adjust display characteristics of the display and how the image data is displayed in the display;
merging the image data into alternate data frames of a sequence of one or more image data frames;
inserting a control structure of the drive sequence into data frames of the sequence between the alternate data frames including the image data; and
transmitting the one or more image data frames to a display driver to enable the display driver to drive the display in accordance with the drive sequence.
