1. A system for reconstructing a polychromatic CT image from a single scan using energy-dependent attenuation coefficients, comprising:
a. a processor;
b. a non-transitory, computer-readable media storing a single CT scan; wherein the processor is configured to reconstruct a CT image by executing a computer program configured for implementing a framelet-based iterative algorithm on the single CT scan, the framelet-based iterative algorithm comprising:
i. a scaled-gradient descent step;
ii. a non-negativity step; and
iii. a soft thresholding step.
