1. A system comprising:
a secured data store that stores user credit information associated with a plurality of consumers;
a computing device in communication with the secured data store and that is configured to:
cause locking of credit data associated with a user in the secured data store via access preventions;
receive an inquiry request from a requesting entity, wherein the inquiry request includes a request for at least a portion of the credit data associated with the user; and
in response to receiving the inquiry request:
determine that the credit data of the user is locked;
in response to determining that the credit data of the user is locked, generate an alert for delivery to the user, the alert including:
information identifying the requesting entity, and
a user interface element enabling the user to unlock the credit data;
electronically provide the alert to the user via a push notification delivered to a mobile device of the user, wherein the push notification is associated with a mobile application on the mobile device;
receive indication of an unlock request from the user via user interaction with at least one of (a) the user interface element of the alert or (b) an unlock input entered by the user within the mobile application; and
in response to receiving the unlock request from the user:
cause an override to the access preventions that have been previously set with respect to the credit data of the user; and
subsequent to access to the credit data of the user by the requesting entity from the secured data store in accordance with the override, automatically remove the override and maintain the access prevention, wherein maintaining the access prevention prevents at least the requesting entity from accessing the credit data of the user after the override has been removed.
