1. A method performed by a processing resource of a node of a plurality of nodes of a cluster representing a distributed storage system, the method comprising:
for each volume of a set of volumes owned by the node and representing a member of a local consistency group (CG), maintaining an entry within a cache of the node containing volume-level CG relationship information for the volume and a peered volume representing a member of a remote CG of a remote cluster, wherein the volume-level CG relationship information identifies the volume as either a source or a destination of data replication with respect to the peered volume; and
responsive to receipt by the node of an add volume event for a first volume, adding a passive cache entry, containing the volume-level CG relationship information for the first volume, to the cache, wherein the node represents a non-high-availability (HA) partner node of an original node of the plurality of nodes from which the first volume is being relocated.
