1. A method comprising:
receiving, by a controller, an upper limit temperature threshold for a coolant of a heat management system;
receiving, by the controller, an indication that a coolant temperature is above a target coolant temperature of the coolant of the heat management system and, in response, increasing the target coolant temperature toward the upper limit temperature threshold, wherein the target coolant temperature controls actuation of a cooling fan of the heat management system;
receiving, by the controller, an indication that electrical energy has been generated from an energy generation event;
and
responsive to at least a portion of the electrical energy generated from the energy generation event exceeding an energy capacity of a battery storage system, causing, by the controller, a transmission of at least the portion of the electrical energy to the heat management system, wherein causing the transmission of at least the portion of the electrical energy to the heat management system includes lowering the target coolant temperature.
