1. A papermaking machine comprising:
one or more centrifugal blowers that pull vacuum through a wet paper web at at least one web pre-drying location within the papermaking machine where water is removed from the web and discharge air is generated; and
a control loop that diverts at least a portion of the discharge air to a hot air drying system disposed at a final web drying location within the papermaking machine to aid in drying the web.
