1. A wax derived from pyrolysis of a feedstock comprising post-consumer and/or post-industrial plastics, wherein:
the wax is produced at an industrial scale;
the wax has a number average molecular weight and/or a weight average molecular weight of from 300 to 400 Daltons;
the wax comprises a mixture of different hydrocarbons, any of which can optionally be substituted, wherein from 60% to 80% of the mixture (w/w) comprises C20-C45 hydrocarbons; and
the wax has:
a final boiling point of 950° F. to 1300° F.; and
a sodium content of 150 ppm or less.
