1. A method for controlling fungus on plants comprising,
applying a composition comprising an effective amount of a piperonylic acid derivative of general formula I:

where X1 and X2 are F; R is H or methyl; and Y1 and Y2 are Br, and an acceptable carrier, where the effective amount includes a weight percentage of the piperonylic acid derivative being 1-99% and where the application to the plant is at a dosage of 10 g to 1000 g per hectare.
